This is what happens when you do not change engine air filter.

Change engine air filters periodically as per Manufacturer Manual for normal use, or, when needed if the vehicle was used in dusty conditions. Check it occasionally, for example at every oil change or every Long Trip Check ( these are just examples).

A dirty air filter restrict air flow to the engine causing

.poor fuel economy

.poor engine performance

.high emissions.

.shorter engine life and engine repair is more expensive as compared to replacement of air filter periodically.
